Thanks for the link. I'm sure I don't have to tell you what I think of Mr. More, a grossly overweight man that calls others gluttonous.
Anyway, I've been watching this tragedy and the ensuing stories very closely like most Americans. I too, want all of the facts regarding what happened or didn’t happen in New Orleans. To think that we have all of the answers and can readily point to any breakdowns that may have occurred and properly affix responsibility for the deaths of people who haven’t even been counted yet is ridiculous. I would love to accuse the Democrat Governor or Mayor for their lack of preparedness or inability to execute plans that may or may not have been devised, but I certainly cannot hold myself out as an expert in that matter and nor should anyone else until the whole matter is finished and investigated. Notice that when Democrats - who are standing up screaming about how Bush brought down the wrath of God upon the blacks – are questioned about state and local accountability, they don’t spare their own politicians. This is good. However, pay attention to the language they use. You will usually hear them say something to the effect that there is enough blame to cover all levels of government and we will probably find that to be the case when we examine the facts. If they are willing to wait to blame Dems, why aren’t they waiting to blame Bush? In fact, they are not only blaming him in absence of investigation, they are calling him a racist. If there is enough blame to go around and nobody is above accountability including the Governor and the Mayor, why aren’t they also racists?
Mr. More talks about putting aside hate for liberals in an article spewing hatred for one man. He talks about the inability of leaders that have not been in combat situations to lead armies. You’ve got to be kidding right? You can bet his last donut that he will support the NY Senator in her run for the White House quicker than he can get to an all-you-can eat buffet. How much combat experience has she had outside the bedroom? He also talks about giving back tax money to help hurricane victims, this after his criticism of the government’s response with those resources. Does he really believe that depositing more money in the federal legislature’s coiffures will get to victims faster and more efficiently than giving to the Red Cross or other charities? He then blabbers on about being the laughing stock of the world, asking if Bush supporters care. What may surprise him is that the answer is no, we don’t care what the rest of the world thinks of us. Does he care what we think of him?

Alex, I agree, subtly calling for Bush’s assassination is going too far. (It puts you in the same league as creeps like Pat Robertson, right?) And Kob, you’re right: Michael Moore is fat. So fat!
When he mentioned giving back tax cuts, I did read it as giving money to relief organizations. That would be the most straightforward thing, but Moore is a loony so it’s anyone’s guess what he really meant. I like him when he’s funny, and in that article he wasn’t very.
One legitimate criticism of the guy is that he seeks international popularity for himself at the expense of our country’s reputation abroad, if you care about that sort of thing. I hear about him all the damn time from Europeans; the content of this letter was forwarded to me by a Spaniard. (Incidently, I think that letter is superior to the one linked here and featured on Moore’s site. That is, it’s funnier.)
And now from the broken record department, who brought up Hillary again? I can’t wait for Part 4!
